Darkcloth for Digital

posted in: Assignments, General 0

Here I am using a 19th Century technology with my 21st Century digital camera: the dark cloth. When I do careful adjustments to my digital camera, while using a tilt-shift lens for perspective correction, I put on my close-up glasses and go under the dark cloth to look at the camera’s LCD screen. I also use a dark cloth with my traditional view camera, when I am focusing the image on ground glass, and using film. Some techniques endure! This was from my March trip to Fairbanks, Alaska, when it was really bright.
