I have gone back to my Flat Building project, but now I am using 4×5 black and white film. I process the film in my basement, and then scan the negatives to make inkjet prints. I like that I can scan the images to the edge of the film, to emphasize that the image is camera generated. In this age of A.I. generated images I like to show that a straight unmanipulated photo can still be surprising. These photos are from the town of Wilkeson, WA. This former coal mining town is close to the Carbon River entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park. Thanks to photographer Joe Mabel for pointing these buildings out to me.
